This week Travis started a second job working with a construction company.
We are all excited about it and really appreciate all his hard work!
And since he needs the car we are homebound. Which, as most of you can tell from our blog, is not a common occurrence . The kids and I try and get out at least once a day to do something fun, and free of course. But its good because gas is sooo expensive right now that us going out wouldn't be economical anyhow. So the past couple days have been fun, we play in the mornings, picnic for lunch, run around outside for over an hour (I demand this part, being outside is a necessity for mommies and babies alike!), bake a treat (they are really into the treats being shaped as something, ie: Star Wars spaceships, Rapunzel, etc it's been a bit tricky), have a tea party and we've been doing school again! The kids aren't sick of it anymore so I do a little here and there throughout the day to keep it fun. Wyatt's been practicing his penmanship and Kailyn's working on memorizing all the letter sounds and identifying numbers. I've made a chart and every time they memorize/write legibly they can put a sticker on that letter/number. They really like it and it's pretty rewarding I'll admit. Once the kids are all in school I'd love to get my degree in Elementary education and teach! It would be so exciting to teach and come up with new ways to entertain your class and make learning fun (just like now but with more kids and funds, hopefully)! So other than the letter stuff we've been doing a bit of science and MATH! Wyatt's really taken interest in math which is very exciting because I loved math and was pretty good at it growing up (not to toot my own horn because I did use the word WAS) so it's fun to see those qualities in your little ones. Wyatt and Kailyn both are very interested in how things work so we read up on a lot of different things too. And thanks to the Library and internet everything you want to know is pretty accessible.
The day before Travis started his new job we went to the local ice cream shop for free ice cream Google Hotpot was promoting so they were giving out free ice cream and it was yuuuummmmy.

Today the kids made popsicle stick trains.
It was a bit tricky but they both did great job!

Then we made our own kites to get them a little bit more excited about running around outside. Unfortunately it was a flop and they didn't fly very well. But they did enjoy the impromptu game of catch the non-flying kite. You tie the string around someone's waist and then they run away (making it float behind them) and you try and catch it. I think they all loved it except Gus, he gets a bit frustrated when he can't get something that's almost in his grasp.

Another exciting thing today. I finally figured out how Augustus always gets on the blooming train table!!
