The party girl when she first woke up and saw her cake. Definitely was my worst one I've made by far, but she loved it.
Some of the party decorations.
When the guests arrived Wyatt read Pinkalicious to them. I wish I had video because it was so stinkin cute!
After the story we did a scavenger hunt that led to their dress ups. Tutus, crown, wings and wands just like Pinkalicious for the girls. Swords and shields for the boys!
Very homemade as you can tell. But still cute!
After everyone was dressed up we played stick the cherry on the cupcake!
The cutest little pinkalicious ever!
Cousin George was our official clue reader, Thank you George!
Our beautiful Pinkalicious!
At the end of the second scavenger hunt there was little t-shirts they decorated while I read Goldilicious. Goldilicious is about Pinkalicious's imaginary unicorn conveniently named Goldilicious "or Goldie for short".
After we read the story and they decorated the shirts I brought out the unstuffed unicorns and bears for the girls and boys to stuff then dress their animals with their decorated shirts.
Then on to cupcakes and presents!
I saved the cake so we could sing to her again on her actual birthday, tomorrow.
I also had bagels with pink cream cheese spread, rasberries and strawberries. I had plans to make more food but didn't because I wasn't sure how many people would eat since it started at 10am.
She loved everything!
She got a sleeping beauty doll with outfits (that's the picture above, notice the cheeky grin) , dress ups, adorable apron with baking accessories, mini hungry hungry hippos, bubble necklace, and pretty pretty princess game (Sleeping Beauty Edition). Then we saved her gifts from family for her actual birthDAY.
After the party (A BIG Thank You to everyone who came) we headed over to Mt. Bonnell for a picnic with cousins. Then over to Mayfield park to show them the peacocks and explore!
It's so fun to get out and explore, especially in AUSTIN!
We are really going to miss this place!
When we got home and I started to make dinner all the sudden ash was coming up from the bottom of the pot on the burner and it took me a second to be like "What the??" and pick up the pot to see a fire. The foil under the burner had caught fire and we had a fire in the kitchen set off the smoke alarms and everything. Some fast acting people, (not me it didn't click as dangerous since it wasn't a large fire, it took Travis a good three yells of "GET THE BAKING SODA" for me to actually get the baking soda.) baking soda, fanning of the smoke detectors (with the shields from the party, smart thinking Sarah) and opening every window/door got the situation under control. (Not to mention the vacuuming, thanks Jared, and wiping down off all the ash, pretty nuts how fast that gets EVERYWHERE!)
