So last night out of the blue Kailyn gets a fever and has a rough night. Wakes up feeling just fine and wanted to go for doughnuts for her birthday breakfast.
I asked her to give me a happy birthday face and this is what I got!
Augustus thinking about trying a bit of blueberry doughnut.
Augustus trying it.
Augustus spitting it out.
After breakfast we went to the park to play for an hour until the Texas Military Forces Museum was open.
We spent an hour or so at the Museum then headed downtown to ride the solar powered carousel that opened at noon.
The cutest little soldiers ever!
That pack was at least 20lbs, not to mention the heavy helmet!
Well...... at least we thought it started at noon. But it didn't start until 3.
But they let us take a picture, which isn't the same but at least it's better than nothing. So the kids ran around in the parking lot while the mom's and dad's discussed waiting for two more hours. We decided to hang out at the capital until three, but then arrived to see the school rally so we just went home. When we got home Kailyn had the fever and chills but said she wanted to open a present. So she did after her ibuprofen and a popsicle to keep her cool. After an hour and a half of resting she felt good enough that she wanted to go out for her birthday dinner.
Her Grandpa Roger and Grandma Hinda drove up from Houston to take her out for her Birthday dinner. She picked the Chick fil a around the corner from us and had a blast. But I think her favorite part was riding to and from the restaurant in the car with her cousins!
She hardly ate I think she just drank her juice and had a lick or two of her ice cream.
When she got home we did cake and she opened the remainder of the presents and then she got the fever/chills again. So she said goodbye to cousins and grandparents and off to the bath and then bed, only to awake again with a fever of 104.7! I'm just glad she wasn't entirely miserable for her whole birthday!
Fingers crossed it ends soon~
Thank you for all the phone calls, cards and presents. And to the Kelley Family (Jared and Sarah) and Roger and Hinda for making the drive, it all made her day!
I can't believe she's three! She is such a beautiful crazy girl. We love her so much and couldn't imagine our crazy life without our little pink princess. She is such a good little mommy to her babies and to her little brother. She's pretty much got all the boys in this house wrapped around her finger. I think that's why she has her "moments" with me. I love that she's a total girly, girl and loves all that is pink. She loves all the princesses, Sleeping Beauty being her favorite due to her color I'm sure. She loves to try new things and is pretty gutsy and definitely knows her mind. She's very good at sharing her toys and loves to give to others, just like her older brother. We love you Kailyn and I hope you had a Pinkereffic Birthday! Thank you for being our little Princess!
