Wyatt's new favorite book has sparked a non stop need for Wyatt to work, earn money and SAVE!
He does the dishes, cleans up any mess he can find, vacuums, scrubs, dusts, does laundry, you name it he's doing it. It's become a little obsessive where he doesn't want to go anywhere because he needs to stay at home and work so he can earn some more money and I'm beginning to run out of lose change. As Travis mentioned "I think I'll be getting poor as this little boy gets rich". We made a chart of what Wyatt wants to save for and every time he gets a couple of cents he adds a little mark of increase on his graph getting closer to his goal.
We made Kailyn a graph too but Kailyn's cost of what she wants is only a fraction of what Wyatt wants and she's a lot closer to getting it. She realizes this (because her graph bar is waaaay bigger than Wyatt's) so she's a lot more laid back about it.
Another alternative to saving is building your own.
Travis helped the kids make their own Zhu Zhu pets. (I think that's what they are called) They're little hamster like toys that move on wheels and their cousin George had one when he was here and they thought they were really cool. So Trav cut out a hole on a toilet paper roll put a matchbox car in and viola a Zhu Zhu pet.

Love the Zhu Zhu pet! We have 2 at our house because mom said "NO more alive hamsters!" We have had 3who all died painful deaths. When Zhu Zhu's die you just get new batteries.
