Potato Prints and GAK

Today the kids and I made potato stamps and used them on some old shirts of Wyatt's. Wyatt thought it was pretty funny using potatoes and paint and Kailyn kept trying to eat the potato even though she tried it and thought it was disgusting, gagging and spitting involved. And the print isn't backwards, my camera broke and the only way to get pictures is to use Travis's laptop camera. It's pretty ridiculous. When Trav got home from school he wanted to make GAK with the kids (something Nickelodeon came out with when Travis was a kid that he used to play with) unfortunately the kids didn't think it was that cool. The disgusted looks on their faces says it all. After a couple of tries of coaxing Kailyn into playing with the GAK, he succeeded. Kailyn played with it for a second and that made Travis's efforts all worth while. I was just happy that he was so excited about our daily science experiments and wanted to participate. Even though the GAK was gross. Love you Trav!

Sounds like fun! A great source for science fun is called Kids Concoctions. They have books, look at library first, and they now have a web-site http://www.kidconcoctions.com/main/kidmain.asp

Sarah's six birthday party was all kid concoction ideas. The kids had a blast. I know Travis will like it, the tell you how to make slim!

Sarah wants to know if you have made Salt Dough? You can air dry it and then paint it. She says DO NOT COOK IT, IT WILL EXPLODE!

You have my vote Ashley dear. So much fun at your house. I love all the comments on the side. This sure beats what I would do like grab an envelop, napkin, tissue etc. to write darling stuff down that you kids would say. You win!!!
