Every Wednesday in the summer the Austin Symphony Orchestra puts on a big event for kids. They have a musical guest, balloons, jesters, story times, instrument petting zoo and crafts. Today the kids and I ventured out to our first one. The musical guest was Joe Mcdermott, he's a children singer/songwriter. The kids thought he was soooo funny. It was really cute to watch Wyatt and Kailyn dancing and laughing at this guy. After the show we followed the musical piper to the craft tents (down the street, this was all downtown) where Wyatt and I made a clay (not a tootsie roll like it looks) train and Kailyn made a fan (out of a paper plate and a tongue depressor). They had face painting and story time. The Symphony was playing music the whole time while the kids walked around doing all these different activities. We sweated a ton (103 F) but I came prepared with water and fruit galore and the kids had a lot of fun! Wyatt was so excited about his little train and Kailyn was very proud of her fan. (They both carried it all the way back to the parking garage which was 4 and half city blocks away!) They we're such good troopers (especially Wyatt who hauled butt walking everywhere) and it's great that it was all FREE! (50 cents per kid, if you get there on time, which of course we didn't) We love Austin!

That sounded like a Fun Day! What cute kids you have :) We don't plan on being in Idaho Falls forever...I'm sick of the winters!!! So..the sooner we leave, the happier I will be. I miss Texas, but who knows where life will take us.
That sounds SO fun!!! I wish Rexburg had awesome stuff like that. They have free lunches every day-but only for kids 1 year and up! And we don't fit into that catergory yet! I am so amazed with all the stuff they have down there for families to do. It just sounds so so so fun!
fun! we will have to come do that with you sometime :)
You do the coolest things with your kids! I can't wait until we get back and can tag along!
