He's three!
I can't believe it's already been three years! Gus has added a lot of joy and laughter to our house and we just love him so much!
He's the funniest little guy with perhaps a wee bit of an anger issue. He's a great climber and gives great "big squeeze" as he calls them (aka hugs). He loves Cars, planes, trucks, basically anything that go's. He loves coloring, painting and drawing "pretty pictures". He loves his big brother and sister and misses them whenever they aren't around.
What three year old begs to mop the floor on his birthday??
THIS BOY!
And he did a wonderful job! Thanks gussy!
He wanted to go to Which Which for lunch so of course we obliged.
Lucky for Kailyn it just happens to be her favorite lunch spot, wonder how he got the idea to go there....
Party time!
We had a Cars 2 party. So we did food from all the different countries they had the race in. Sushi for Japan, pizza for Italy, and fish and chips for England.
Then we played a couple of games.
I hid the title of the games in balloons so the kids took turns popping them to figure out the next game.
We had:
"Who said it?": I lined up a couple different cars and read quotes from the movie and the kids had turns picking who said it.
Finn Mcmisslie Drop: Gus has a plane that launches Finn car out so we had a target on the ground and the kids took turn ejecting him to safe landing.
Find the American: On the movie they have to find the american spy. So I hid the little American spy car and off they went to find it. (It was in the bathroom just like in the movie.)
Catch the thief: This was their favorite game! Spies sometimes have to catch thieves. In this case they were a jewel thief. One person turned around while the others stood with their hands behind their back. I snuck the jewel in one of their hands and then the spy turned back around to guess who had it. It was hysterical to watch Gus and Alex giggle with glee when they had the jewel behind their backs!
And the goodie bags were cute!
Gus made molded crayons for them he was SO proud of them. Wish I took a picture!
We also found a colorable CARS puzzle, coloring sheets and a little matchbox car, all cars were blue per birthday boys request.
The cake.
Blah blah blah.
Top is chocolate, middle vanilla, bottom chocolate chocolate chip.
Two days before Gus's birthday Travis got called off shore. When Travis called me from work to tell me, I mentioned it to the kids and they told Gus daddy wasn't going to be here for his birthday. He yelled and cried and said "He not missing my birthday he gonna miss YOUR birthday!" and dropped to his knees and cried. So when Travis came home getting ready to pack up and leave and was hit with a fever, chills and nausea, I was beyond happy! He wasn't able to drive the 6 hour drive to the helipad and he didn't miss Gus's birthday!! He felt better by the time we had the party and it was so nice to have him there!
We didn't even finish the birthday song before he started blowing them out!
So handsome! Love you Gussy Bear!
He loved his presents! All of them!
Siblings even loved them!
Gussy got this dump truck via UPS from Grandma Bromley and Papa Rob.
Ever since he insists on checking the front door for a package because that's where "my garbage truck got here, soo let me see if there's a package!"
He got a gift card from Papa Cars and Grandma and bought this cuddly Dumbo. He loves DUMBO!
