Happy Easter!

The kids have been sick.
Gus has had the flu and Kailyn a bad eye infection.
SOOoo we've been spending our days away from civilization as to not spread the disease.
I've also put their toys in quarantine.
I know that's not nice but after I completely bleached and lysoled all toys over and over again, and the toy room I locked it up. So they were limited to a few things that I could easily clean through out the day while we played.
Yes, I have a problem. But I figure if I keep everything as sterile as possible and it still spreads then, well quite frankly I'll explode. So lets just hope and pray that won't happen.
On to Easter!
The Easter bunny found our house. He left the eggs inside because a very certain boy was so worried that it might unexpectedly rain and ruin all the Easter bunny's hard work that he laid awake for hours! He's such a caring boy!
Happy Easter!
See Gus eyeing something??
It was the eggs.
He already had three in his hand before he even got his basket!
His siblings were not pleased with his method.
Finding the eggs!!

Ahhh.... the golden egg. Growing up we had one golden egg (it was pretty big too) on our Easter egg hunts. It usually had a little bit of money in it and it was the most coveted during our holiday. My brother Nic always got it without fail!!
So since this was our first year doing it I made sure everyone had one.
Wyatt was pretty thrilled to find out it had one whole dollar bill in there.

Augustus happy to find one too!
52 eggs found, mission complete.
Eating candy for breakfast, it just happened that way.
After wards we talked about the real reason for Easter and a little mini Easter lesson.
Then we made crafts

Like dog houses from boxes

And more balloon lightsabers.
Ahhhhh....
Defeated at last!
Not to happy about being defeated or maybe even a bit confused.

Happy Easter!
I hope everyone had a healthy one!

I love that you did the golden egg and that everyone got one. If only it were that way when we were growing up!
