Toy Ice Blocks

I did this with the kids a long time ago during our "school time" and we've been doing it a lot lately. The lesson was about ice and how it's made, melts, hot and cold, etc. All I did was take one of their toys, stick it in a tuber-ware, fill with water and freeze. Then they take hot water, cold water or a hammer to find the quickest solution to free their toy. They love it!

Ash, look in your local library for a kids book called "Kids Concoctions" (they have at least 2 different ones)It is a fun science book for kids. They tell you how to make slime and my favorite "fake rocks". It also tells you how to make an ocean in a bottle.

I know you guys are in an apartment but have you tried the pine cone, peanut butter and birdseed...birdfeeders? They are easy, messy and fun, three things kids love!
