Broke the Piggy Bank

Paying and getting his change.
He had 39.50 and it was 39. 23.

Waiting for slow coach Mom to help open it.
Having her lollipop after dinner.
It's not a train, but it made her happy for a bit.

First off I'd like to thank the elderly gentleman that saved our day at the gas station. Our gas tank door wouldn't pop open and we desperately needed gas. He came to the kids and I's aide and shimmed the door open with a paint scraper he just happened to have in his trunk. Pretty amazing, so I want to say thank you to him. And also thank you to TAsha at the insurance office for finally doing the job that the other three people I talked to all morning long should have done. I'd also like to thank Majic 95.5 FM for playing Christmas music all day today. And lastly, but sooo not least, my kids for making my day (yet again) another adventure!
Today was a special day because we did one of our little family traditions. When Travis was younger his parents would get him and all his brothers a new ornament every year. We do that too, but let the kids pick out their own instead to kind of remember through the years what they were interested in. Wyatt picked a train, of course, Kailyn picked out Cinderella, and Travis picked out a Santa Mailbox for Augustus. The mailbox came with little envelopes and paper to write real letters on and put inside. Another reason why it was special was because Wyatt finally had enough money to buy the Santa Express train! He has been saving his money for almost a year and has been wanting to get another electronic train so when we counted it out and he had enough we all headed to Home Depot. *Side Note: I had already gotten it because he said he wanted it for Christmas, so I had to do a sneaky move and as soon as we pulled up I hopped out of the car, popped the trunk, and ran inside with the train to return it so that he could come in and buy it with his own money. (I had gotten the last train they had, and Travis stayed in the car with the kids, just FYI. ) The lady at the register thought it was weird but she did it so that's all that matters.* Kailyn was a bit upset because she wanted to get one too, but when Wyatt explained how she could just share with him, she calmed down a bit. Wyatt bought it all by himself and came back to the car beaming! He told me over and over again how happy he was that he saved all his money!
