Travis was home for Christmas which was awesome.
But this year it just wasn't what I expected I guess. It didn't feel very Christmassy. I think its because everyone kept getting sick up until Christmas day so I was pretty wiped/unprepared by the time it came to Christmas... maybe that's why?
I took terrible pictures too! My phone camera is scratched so it makes it all blurry on one side so I don't take as many because they turn out crappy. And I was just busy trying to enjoy Christmas. It was Henry's first Christmas, first year Travis and I exchanged gifts, we had family in town, we headed to Kountze (an hour and a half away) to Travis's Grandmother's house, then back to my dads house later that evening. The best was just being together, having Travis home was the best gift!
Wyatt was the first one up around 6:30 and he just walked in our room and hopped in our bed and didn't say a word! I waited and waited for him to say something about Santa coming, presents being out, something! Anything! Then he sat up like 20 minutes later and said "Hey mom! Santa came last night!". I just laughed. Then we heard Gus's high pitched "GuYS! GUYS! Come look! SAAANNTTAA came and brought me just what I wanted!!!"
I think another thing that I was sad about is the stuff the kids asked for from Santa I felt like they'd be disappointed about. And yes I know Christmas isn't about presents and receiving but I LOVE giving and seeing their faces light up and just being so excited and I felt like it could have been better. But anyways moving on.
Wyatt: Got the lego set seen by the couch. Cargo terminal
Kay: got a lego friends set. Olivias house
Gus: got a fisher price a to z learning zoo.
Santa left a shoe horn for Gus in his stocking. He was very excited. His Papa Cars has one and he always is yelling at me to get him one (usually while he's struggling to put on his shoes) so he was very happy to get his very own.
Henry taking in all the sounds and sights of Christmas morning.
My favorite gift!
We always buy the cheap diapers...because "why pay more money for something he's just going to poop and pee in"- Travis
I like the nice, soft, don't leak in the middle of the night diapers. So I asked for them for Christmas from Travis and was SOO happy to get a giant box of them! My good friend also gave me a huge box of them too (she knows me ;) so I'll have good diapers for weeks!!!
Henry enjoying his santa gift.
He liked it!
Nice to be able to set him down without him screaming bloody murder!
Watching dad open his presents.
The kids got him Hug Mugs from Max Brenner.
I got him bullet cufflings, a pipe and some cologne.
He got me my beloved diapers, perfume (i love it! now i smell pretty and not so much like baby puke!), and a pair of weights I really wanted. Thanks babe!
The only snow that happened here.
See no crying!
Now she has one just like mine!
She loved it!
She kept telling me "thanks mom, this just helps me so much!" she said this while eating breakfast with her baby strapped in. Such a good little mom.
Wyatt was busy building all his legos. Gus was busy playing planes and the baby and I were busy making breakfast. We had cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. A Christmas tradition.
merry christmas everyone!
