the free puppet show at the Doughtery Arts Center, called Chicken BIG.
A book by a local author reenacted by chicken puppets.
Waiting/Dancing for the doors to open so we could get seated.
Right before it began.
The itty bitty chicken coop.
It was funny and had all the kids (even Augustus) laughing.
Wyatt told me he liked "puppet shows waay better than the play shows because chickens are just so funny!".
We walked over to the pond and fountains, then started to head over to the Long Center to find another one of those cows. But we didn't make it. Kailyn had one of the BIGGEST (and I am not exaggerating or using this word lightly) melt downs in the history of Kay. I mean I had people looking concerned and starting to approach us to make sure I wasn't kidnapping her! It didn't help that she was screaming, crying and running away from me, yelling "NO I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME WITH YOU!!!" I mean come on wouldn't you be concerned for her too???!! But I think it helped that Wyatt would say things like "Kailyn stop kicking momma" or "Momma make Kay-Kay stop screaming it's HURTING my EAAAARRS!!" tipping people off I was in fact her mother. So I carried her and Gus all the way back to the car (it was a ways, especially when you're hauling a total of 50+lbs of babies in your arms. The same arms that haven't been doing their push ups since the body they are connected to has been lazy.) But we made it home safely and now my arms are ripped, a win, win. HAHAH just kidding (about the arms thing, not the safe thing. We totally made it home safely.)
But lucky for Wyatt when we were driving home I spotted the cow AND a 15 minute free parking spot right next to it. So I didn't have to get them all out of the car because I was standing right next to it!
Then we saw another one when we were waiting at the light! Making a grand total of 12 cow pictures. Hopefully we'll get more. I'm trying to get Travis to take some pictures with the cows when he's downtown for work. Wyatt would love it!
Hint, Hint.
