It took a whole lot of imagination to get the kids to go on our walk today.
Here's the background story:
There is a whale that was stolen and needed food and water and we had to go find/help him.
(I let them watch Free Willy for their weekly electronic time, can you tell?)
So each of them carried their backpacks filled with water and some treats (graham crackers, craisins, and oatmeal square cereal)
We went past the swimming pool (ocean), through the grass (meadows), down the busy roads (parking lots) to get to the place where the whale was holed up (our secret trees!)
They all walked the whole way.
Even Gus who carried his backpack and water in his hands!
Wyatt explaining how to quickly and safely get to the whale.
The two birds watching us giving that nice, warm, fuzzy, Hitchcock's BIRDS feeling.
We made it to the secret trees...
only to find a decapitated dead bird and about 10 extremely large piles of feces, I would say dog poop but the size of the dog that did what it did would have to be gigantic and I've seen a Great Dane do its business people!!
So we quickly evacuated and found our new secret tree.
New tree.
With a new view.
Then we walked back and went swimming!!
Thankful for:
