Aquarena Glass Bottom Boats

We went to the Aquarena as a family and rode the glass bottom boat.
Thanks Heidi!

Seeing scuba divers dive in.
Travis giving me the crazy eye.
All of my family's (plus a little extra) reflection in the bottom of the boat.

Excuse the tongue, it was the only picture of Gus looking forward.
We rode in one of the original boats from the mid 40's. Pretty cool.
Afterwards we walked over to their aquarium where they had the fish and turtles that are from the San Marcos River.

Confused as to why someone would put trash in the turtles cage and why he wasn't allowed to open it up and get it out.
The Aquarena used to be a theme park. They had an underwater show, where people would go down into the submarine theatre to view the mermaids and ralph the swimming pig! They also had a ski lift ride that would take people up over the lake and turn around and come back down. Restaurant, arcade and a hotel, which is now a learning center. Oh how I wish there was still a swimming pig with mermaids in a SUBMARINE THEATRE. Why hasn't anyone done this since?

By the ski lift starting point.
Wetlands boardwalk.
We saw blue heron, gar, and some other fish that starts with a T and their big nests.

That fish.

We needed to get a souvienir for our shadow box so we did the inexpensive smashed penny. Kailyn excited to see the smashed penny.
Then upset because the machine was pointed to the wrong picture so it smashed the boat picture not the fish one she had wanted.
Look at those angry eyes, I almost peed my pants trying not to laugh when she was upset about this.
Then after our fun there we headed over to the outlets close by and went here!

Notice the heavens shining down on it?
Gus making sure we know that he wants something too.
He didn't stop pointing until he saw something was coming his way. Crazy baby.
Forget the fudge folks.
I'm official into these amazing caramel apples! Holy smokes! This is Kailyn's Ariel apple and it was delicious! Luckily for Travis and I the kids take like two bites and then they're all done, it's a bit overwhelming for amateurs!!!mauahahahha. I loved Kailyn's, Wyatt's wasn't bad (I still ate the majority of it) but not as good as Kay's.

Yeehaw!
