Wyatt's flower finally blossomed!
Practicing
Can't sit up until 6 months What?? This sleepy baby's four months holla'.
The toy store up in North Austin holding the supposed "Fairy Tea Party"
Kailyn in awe that Wyatt ate the alleged "cookie" (She was not as easily fooled notice if you will in her right hand is still her "cookie")
Can you guess which ones are mine?
Maverick
(He's wearing a Top Gun Helmet for any hermits that didn't get the reference)
Do you know how fast you were going?
He's very upset that I took a picture when he tried this one on (and even more upset that he tired this one on, of his own free will and accord mind you) when and older pretty girl walked by him. He got over it though when the girl actually spoke to him. Who knew simple phrases like "Excuse me" and "that's a cool hat"could turn that frown upside down?
I'm so proud of all his hard work
(planting, watering and keeping his little sister away from it!)
So it's summertime! Hooray! It's hot all the time but I love Austin weather there is almost always a breeze! It's beautiful and to have such awesome kids to play outside with (Wyatt says almost everyday without a miss "What a beautiful day Mom, isn't such a beautiful day!")everyday the summer is the best. So far we've been living in the pool and hitting up the parks. We went to Zilker Park(haven't been for a couple of months) on Monday for a couple of hours then came home and went swimming for the rest of the day. (The kids thought it was sooo funny how wrinkly their hands and feet were) Tuesday we went to our favorite park (okay MY favorite park) Town Lake park (or now Butler Park formally known as Town Lake Park, sounds a little Prince to me) where they have a open fields for flying kites, running around, the lake is across the street, they have a big pond with fish and turtles, and the fountains! Now they closed the fountains for like 4 months due to repairs and stuff and we went thinking it would still be closed but it wasn't! So we had a blast getting soaked and feeding the turtles. Wednesday, well Wednesday was dead duck day. (Amber you're probably the only one who will know what the crap I'm talking about and if you do you name it on a comment)
So today (Thursday) I was looking at all the free fun stuff for kids to do in Austin (I love how much fun stuff they've always got going on) and I decided to try the Fairy Tea Party. Well there were fairies and there was little cups of tea (I don't know if it was actual tea or not we stuck with the drinking fountain) and some "cookies" on a plate and some crafts you could wait in a horribly long line to kind of do station by station but I would have to say it was not a Tea Party. So pretty disappointed about the actual event (so were a lot of the little fairies who dressed up and everything only to tear up when there weren't any tea sets and tables) but not about the store! The kids loved the store didn't want anything to do with crafts or the "cookies" but sure loved exploring all the different toys (they had tester toys of almost everything they sell) and of course the Thomas the train stuff is always a big hit! So after a couple of hours (not exaggerating it was hours) of exploring the store (and making a mental note never to attend the alleged tea party event but to come back and explore again) we headed home to play and eat POPSICLES! (A must have for the summer season) Now our Friday is still up in the air might try the library events going on or might just spend the day swimming but whatever we do I'll try to remember my camera!
