It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

They had a little area of farm animals that the kids thought was pretty funny,
especially the pig.

The Man and his Perfect Tree!

Wyatt dressing up in Santa's P.J.'s!

We went to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm and got to pick and cut down our very own Christmas Tree!!! It was such a fun adventure. And I say adventure because taking a perfectionist to a tree farm to find the "perfect" tree can be described in no other way. Wyatt's only request for his Christmas tree is that it would be "sooo big I can't reach it at the top", Kailyn's  was just plain old "tee, tee" and mine that it didn't have any big gaps in it. Travis on the other hand, the poor guy, would have spent all day and perhaps all night there, if Wyatt would have let him, searching for his perfect tree. But in an hour we found our perfect tree, much to Wyatt's urging his daddy to "pick this one" and "this one" and "WHAT ABOUT THIS ONE DADA!!" everytime Trav walked away to look at more trees. After cutting it down we encountered another adventure, tying it down to our car. Now they say third times a charm for a reason and that was just the case for us. The first time the tree was tied down the opposite way with the top of the tree hanging out on our windsheild. The second time it was tied on with our doors shut, so we couldn't open them. This was pretty hiliarious. I just assumed we hop in Dukes of Hazzard style. I already buckled the kids in this way and was excited to do the same but Travis insisted we do it again. So like I said third times a charm and we tied it again and succeeded. Got home in one piece and decorated it! It was sooo much fun and we're all excited to do it again next year!

That looks like so much fun! I can see some of the same ornaments on your tree that we have. I wonder how much all of our trees look alike (thanks to gma and gpa Dobson). I love christmas time!!
