Candy Store

Parking at the Candy Store.
Their choices: Jello, Dum-Dums, Heart peanut butter cups, Giant Peanut Butter Cups (Thank goodness nobody picked those! Talk about tummy ache!)
2 Very satisfied customers.

Today Travis woke up and told the kids we were going to the candy store. After I reminded Travis this wasn't possible (i.e. candy stores cost money, and starting the day off at a candy store didn't seem like the best idea.) So the kids weren't very happy about me bringing their dad back to reality so I told them what we'd do instead. First I told them how we were going to do our ABC's, read stories, practice writing our letters and do some music time. But after all that learning (they weren't to excited about learning time after being told they could go to a store dedicated to candy, now Kailyn didn't really understand what candy store meant but she was pretty sure it entailed eating and she always wants to eat. Wyatt knows what candy is and he was pretty bummed) we were going to play in the pool and eat our lunch picnic style and then play candy store! They were REALLY excited about this candy store idea. So we made our own treats for it. We made JELLO, peanut butter cups and I found some left over dum dum suckers (from Easter?) in the top cupboard. Then after the learning and the pool and lunch. I gave the kids each 25 cents and they got on their little push cars and drove to the candy store. Then they each got a turn to pick out a treat using their money. It was so fun to see how excited they were to pick out a treat and of course eat it!
