Wiener Dog Races

Why is that no one ever wants to take a picture with me?
Watching the races

Wyatt went down this willingly.
Travis was ecstatic that they let him go down on his stomach.
Riding with the big kids

Today, Saturday, (Happy Birthday Corbin!) we went to the Wiener Dog Races in Buda. Which is 14 miles south of Austin.  I have never seen so many wiener dogs in my life! It was fantastic! So we watched the dog races and Wyatt rode the train by himself a couple times (I followed it around the park, for those who thought I'd let my three year old ride a train around a fair unsupervised) Travis and Wyatt went down a huge inflatable slide and Kailyn and I walked around socializing with the dogs. I think the best part was watching the wiener dogs race. So funny. I wish I had better pictures. It was quite the event. And I learned today that Buda, TX is the wiener dog capital of Texas. After this huge fair we headed over to the Indian Festival which was like 8 miles west of us.

That is hilarious! It sounds like a fun day. I would have fallen asleep half way through - you have tons of energy.

How cool! I wish I could have been their for the race. Love all the pictures even the one where Wyatt doesn't want to take a picture with you. :)

Do you want our Wiener dog? We should tell you she won't win any racers, unless she knew there was food at the end of the race. She actually is the size of 2 full size or 4 mini wieners.

My cousin and her husband live in Buda and they took their two little girls there, too. What a coincidence!
