Finally I (and by I, I mean WE, Travis is awesome, thanks babe!) finished the old Schwinn we got from Travis's grandparents backyard. My goal was to make it nice and rideable without spending $45. Did it with 30!
Got another kid bike off craigslist for 25 and took the rims (blue, perfect!) and tires (white wall!!) then we are using the seat to replace Wyatt's on his bike, took off the pegs and put it on the makeover bike.
First stage.
Taking off all the non-useable parts, cleaning (aluminum foil and water will take off rust from chrome) and then sanding it down.
Then I covered up all the original decals and stickers and spray painted it with fresh blue paint and some chrome to touch up added all the new stuff.
Tada!
Everything is ORIGINAL except the chain and rim/tires. I think it looks pretty cool.
Thanks to Travis for letting me make it over and for all your help!
