Today we headed out to the Austin Zoo (Thanks Heidi!) for the first time. All the animals there were donated or surrendered so it's more of a rescue zoo. So that was a neat aspect of it.
Travis being a good sport.
The monkey was playing on a seesaw.
All they wanted to do was find the animals to feed.
The tigers.
The lady working there told us this tiger was given to them from a truck driver that bought him as a cub at a gas station, thinking it would be fun to have a tiger drive with him all the time. So when the tiger got t0o big to handle he gave him up.
She said it's pretty easy to get a tiger cub if you have about 500 bucks.
Crazy, right? A gas station? People are nuts!
Sad that no one will carry her everywhere.
Cute little squirrel monkey.
Finally found the animals and had a blast feeding them.
The animals would kind of head butt each other to get to the food first. Wyatt was so cute to watch. He would referee the two and always make sure to get food to the underdog.
Travis was trying to love on goats a little to much.
The man needs a dog.
Gus's first time down at the zoo. He wasn't having any of it at first but warmed up to the idea at the very end.
Just in time to feed the animals.
Against his wishes.
