McKenna Children's Museum

We went here today as a family. It was so fun! It was a smaller children's museum but probably the best one we've been too! It's located in New Braunfels, which is just 40 minutes away, it wasn't crowded so we practically had it all to ourselves, it was kept up (real clean) and had so much to do, we just loved it. Big thanks to Heidi, or we'd never know about it!

Kids dream come true!
Ever since going to the hospital to see Uncle Nathanael's new baby the kids have been playing "baby hospital" once a day for weeks!
So to have all the real stuff, was just incredible for them and so fun to watch!

Our astronauts playing in the space shuttle!
They had such fun stuff to play!

Painting, which would have definitely cost more at other museums but everything was included at this museum.

They had a bank, grocery store, newspaper, hardware store, ranch, hospital, a house you fixed up, space station and so much more!

Kailyn asked me if it was real, I mentioned it was real but is dead. She runs up to Wyatt and says " Look Wyatt it's a cow, and it's real dead!"

The REAL alligators, turtles and fish! Travis tried to deny the authenticity of the Alligators. But finally gave in and agreed that they were in fact real baby alligators and not some extremely detailed robotic alligators. The real eye opener was once they completely submerged themselves in water.

Gus loved this thing!
Fun grocery store and that little girl with the dark hair, was Gus's little friend. He followed her EVERYWHERE. It was adorable.
And Kailyn painted her own face! (That's why it looks so dirty, just FYI)
EMT Gus on his way!

Shadow room.
The falling pebbles reacted to your shadow and the butterflies would land on your shadow.
So cool!

Incredible water table!

Wyatt being a bat in the bat cave~

Free science time, making a cloud in a bottle.
Kids thought it was pretty neat, minus the noise.
Gus had so much fun, he fell asleep while eating!
