Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the park, which wore the kids out (and explains why Kailyn asked to go to bed around 6:30pm and Wyatt quickly agreed to that idea). So I got my laundry folded and floors cleaned, even ended up cleaning the bathrooms which made our apartment feel less cluttered in some way. Don't ask how, but if just seemed to. I stayed up late doing that in between getting Augustus to stay asleep. He's still not feeling well. I think he might have an ear infection. Though I don't see how, he's already on an antibiotic, poor little guy.
So our New Year's morning didn't start off to well. Cranky kids (once again don't know how that happened, maybe too much sleep?) with my counter acting grouchy so I asked if we could redo our morning, start over if you will. So they agreed and we all hopped back in their beds and we said "GOOD MORNING!" and it WAS! They thought it was funny and they weren't grouchy at me and I in turn wasn't a grouch too! It was a perfect 1st (redo) morning of 2011!
At breakfast we talked about what New Year's Resolutions were and what theirs were and then later when Travis woke up asked him his. Here they are:
The Kelley's 2011 New Years Resolutions:
Travis- Don't procrastinate.
Ashley- Be a better mom and waste less.
Wyatt- Get better at playing toys.
Kailyn- Be good.
So after some massive toy playing and breakfast and more toy playing we headed out to Home Depot to build a battery storage shelf. (Stupid, I know.) They had fun and it got us out of the apartment so Travis could get some sleep, got to love that night shift!
